Ridgecrest Cares is a program developed to assist low and low-moderate home owners to improve their homes. It is believed that painting approximately 20 homes throughout the City will make a positive impact to the neighborhood and spark interest for other neighbors to start a clean-up and paint project themselves.
Q. Who is considered low and low-moderate?
A. The application form on the link below shows the income levels – for Kern County – that qualify for this program. Proof of income as well as proof of home ownership will have to be provided if you are selected.
Q. When will the painting and clean-up take place?
A. Our test home project took place in April 2007 with full implementation thereafter. The next project will be in September or October.
Q. Who will be doing the work?
A. Ridgecrest Cares will have students from the Y.E.S. program and adult volunteers from the community. If you would like to volunteer, please follow the link below.
The Ridgecrest Cares Program is still accepting applications for the home owners home to be painted.
