The Engineering Division is responsible for planning, budgeting, design, bid specification preparation and construction of Public Works projects. The department is the City's liaison with Kern COG , Community Development and Caltrans.
On August 25, 2016 the engineering firm of record Provost and Pritchard gave an updated presenation to the Infrastructure Committee on the New Wastewater Treatment Facility Project. The presentation is in a link below.
The Engineeringn Department along with the Street Department has posted a link below that includes a list of streets and a map of accomplishments due to Measure L Funds from 2012-2016.
One June 21, 2017 the City Council of the City of Ridgecrest recieved and filed the new Pavement Management Study for Fiscal Year 2016. Below is a link to the complete document.
Street Maintenance Division provides maintenance, repair and street-sweeping services for 262 miles of streets. This includes repair of infrastructure such as curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage systems, signs, and painting. Wastewater Treatment Facility and Collection System operates and maintains the sewage collection and treatment system in accordance with health and safety laws and Lahontan Board Orders. For sewer lateral locates e-mail or phone the department at (760) 499-5084.

Pavement Management System
The Engineering Department is currently review the new Pavement Management Study that is in draft form. As soon as it has been approved by the City Council, it will be placed up on the website for veiwing.
