These activities are provided for 262 lane miles of streets.
How Do You Report a Street or Drainage Issue
To report a pothole or request other maintenance work within the City of Ridgecrest email ([email protected]) or phone the department at (760) 499-5083.
Maintenance responsibility of State Highway 178 or Business 395 which includes; Inyokern Road; China Lake Blvd north of Ridgecrest Blvd and Ridgecrest Blvd east of China Lake Blvd belong to Caltrans. Caltrans’ maintenance facility for our area is located in Inyokern and can be reached at 760-377-4300.
Maintenance responsibilities for most roads outside the city limits to the north, west and south belong to Kern County. Their maintenance facility is located in Inyokern and can be reached at 661-862-5181
The City is not responsible for roads outside the city limits to the east (past County Line Road). These fall within San Bernardino County but are not maintained by the County. To see what roads in San Bernardino County are maintained by the County visit http://cms.sbcounty.gov/dpw/Home.aspx and push the blue bar “Interactive Maps” on the right, then select County Maintained Road System on the right.
How Do You Report a Non-Functioning Street Light
Street light outages Citywide, except along Ridgecrest Blvd, should be reported to SCE. Street light outages along Ridgecrest Blvd between China Lake Blvd and Norma St. can be reported by calling our office at (760) 499-5083 or (760) 499-5087.
