Police Dispatcher

A Dispatcher performs law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical dispatch, and rescue-related telecommunications dispatch work in the City's 9-1-1 communications center. Police Dispatchers do skilled technical work in the operation of telecommunications and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) equipment to provide a vital communications link between emergency response units in the field, and locations where emergency assistance is requested by the public.

Police Officer

The Ridgecrest Police Department provides a wide range of professional law enforcement functions to the community. Assignments may include criminal investigation, community relations, uniformed patrol, traffic enforcement, narcotic investigations, K-9 Unit, or any other duties expected of an experienced police officer.

Police Reserve Program

The Ridgecrest Police Department's Reserve program offers individuals a challenging opportunity to be of service to their fellow citizens. As a reserve officer, you will assist the regular members of the department in the fulfillment of its mission.

Citizens Police Academy

The mission of the Citizen’s Police Academy is to educate the citizens of Ridgecrest by providing them with an inside look at Ridgecrest Police Department operations; to enable the Police Department to remain responsive to the needs of our community and to continue the delivery of quality police services to our community.
